Visualizing America's Population by Race

So, I had started this little project where I was/am going to create graphics for each state that read "How White is Your State?" I find it funny how often the whitest states in the country feel the need to scream about their own racism and obviously point fingers at more racially diverse states who seem to get along just fine. Thought it would be nice to respond with a graphic that showed visually how white they were. My graphic is going to be 100 dots and each dot will be colored representing the race. White, black, brown, yellow and grey for mixed or other. It's one thing to SAY Maine is 93% white, but to see 93 out of 100 dots white really sends the message home.
while starting to gather stats, I found these which do much the same thing. I thought you guys might like to see them, because they really do make it obvious how the entire country is being led around by the nose for such a small percentage of people.

strikes me as odd that BLM is much more disruptive in states with lower black populations than the south

Maybe its because in the south we seem to get along with everyone.
Of course there are a few assholes, but those arent determined by race.

I suspect the primary factor is gun ownership and self defense laws.

Purely conjecture on my part, but there's part of me that actually believes white people in those parts of the country when they say they are racist. People tend to not like what they don't know, and most of these people have never spent any real time around black people.
The issue is that they then extrapolate that to all other white people in America. it's basically, "Well...I know I'm racist and I'm a great person. That means that those people who don't agree with me, who are bad people, must be EVEN MORE racist than me! And people from parts of the country that had historical race issues who disagree with me because they are bad people, well...they are the worst of all!"
In reality, those of us down in the deep south who when integration happened actually integrated because there were actual black people with which to integrate. At this point, everyone in the South 55 or so and under never once went to a segregated school. We've lived our entire lives together. These others states may never had had Jim Crow, but what difference does it make if they also never had black people? When bad things ended here, we began living together and for the most part I think we've all been better for it. They never really have and they honestly don't seem to realize this.

I'm going to take these stats and do my own version with the dots for each state, but when I do I hope it's worth spreading around.

Florida is 53% white and Georgia is at 52% white... But it seems the minorities in Fla are much more conservative than the ones in Georgia. I blame Atlanta

My freshman year in high school,(1970), it seemed the blacks, as they were called then, hated us and wanted to kill us. It was basically 50/50 white/black. By my junior year we figured out the rules and realized there was no such thing as a fair fight. Some of us responded accordingly. By my Senior year we had become best buds, especially on the football team.
No point, just sayin, it was a learning experience. Not much from an academic stand point, when there was such chaos all around, but life lesson, for sure.

If we're talking about the riots. It's cultural.
In the South Blacks and Whites know each other, and work alongside each other. We understand how to communicate with each other.
In the rest of the country, the Black community lives in social and economic isolation.
If we're talking about Whites supporting the BLM movement. That's an upper middle class white fetish, it's a way to signal your virtue, and a way to punch down on poorer whites who "aren't as virtuous."
