Not at all. I'm just a guy that read your post and don't understand wtf it has to do with anything.

Anyone who hasn't been to India should go. It is quite eye opening and you will appreciate your country more. It illustrates why so many Indians want to get the fvck out. It is the ultimate shitehole.
Yet when they leave, they bring that culture with them unfortunately.

As much as I'd like to enjoy his videos, it's lacking entertainment and just exemplifies the mundaneness of life. I get all of that every day of my life in the US now. Only not as dismal.

I worked with a gentleman who, early in his career, did a stretch as an engineer for his home country on a World Bank funded project in Africa.
These projects work like this, the World Bank funds the build usually via very low interest loans directly to the nation where the project is being built. In return, World Bank participating countries get portions of the job for their businesses. As a result, they often have tradesmen and engineers from all over the globe working on them.
He received the best advice from some British engineers on site who, through their colonial times, were well familiar with Indians.
They told him, "if you have a pistol and are confronted by a both a snake and an Indian - you must shoot the Indian first because you have a pretty good idea what to expect from the snake."
India and Indians are chaos.

I apologize if this has been posted elsewhere and it's a bit long, but great perspective on India from an Indian. It sure affirms my impressions from my brief visit there. The difference between the honor/shame culture vis a vis our law-based culture is stark.

I don't know how plague isn't absolutely rampant in India.

Diverted there years ago and had to spend a few nights.
I don’t bother telling the story because there is no way to put into words how awful that place was/is.

Watch Bald's Cambodia video: far poorer than India, but a completely different experience. Everything is extremely orderly and pristine

The toilet doesn’t have plumbing tho so it’s just an open hole and everything falls on the tracks. Quite the sensation.
This almost makes me want to visit India, if only to experience the thrill of track shitting.

I just can not imagine the bad shite floating around the streets. I think Im good just taking yalls word for it and not go to India

And there is also a massive problem there with child sex trafficking. I’ve worked with and supported an organization there that has as its mission to keep young boys out of the sex trade.
By “young”, I mean like 3 years old. Parents sell their kids into this life there.
People here have almost zero comprehension of how badly the moral compass of Cambodia was ripped out by the Khmer Rouge. Judge these parents all you want, but you never grew up and formed your character in a time when 25% of your population was killed for the most swarm-mentality of reasons.
Again, what you see in pictures and travel blogs is often VERY different from what you learn when you actually spend time in these places.
It’s a complex world out there and you learn a LOT about your own country when you’ve spent a lot of time outside of it.
