25 States concealed carry revoked.
They’re gonna keep chipping away. Virginia baws, whatcha gonna do?
quote:
The states whose permits Virginia will no longer recognize are: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming
The move means that Virginians will no longer be able to use their concealed handgun permits in six states that require a mutual reciprocity agreement: Florida, Louisiana, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Wyoming
They’re gonna keep chipping away. Virginia baws, whatcha gonna do?

This was a foregone conclusion.
I wonder how many sheriffs will come out & say "hey Florida, we will accept your CC permits in __________ County"

There is precedence for parts of Virginia to become a separate state. I think that might be the best solution to this controversy - NOVA can just become a second Maryland.

You don’t believe in states’ rights?
Do you know that the Second Amendment only applied to the federal government for the overwhelming majority of our country’s history? Let’s see whether y’all can figure that one out.

These measures are unconstitutional at a state level.
quote:
Article I. Bill of Rights
Section 13. Militia; standing armies; military subordinate to civil power
That a well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state, therefore, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that in all cases the military should be under strict subordination to, and governed by, the civil power.
From the Constitution of Virginia

Modern Republicans are nothing more than unfashionably late liberals, serving as rear-guards to causes that they found anathema just a decade ago.

What does the Virginia Constitution have to do with extending those rights across other states?

The Governor is going to keep poking this hornet's nest until his next election where a fricking ham sandwich with an NRA sticker on it will beat him like a drum.

VA has one term governors, which is probably why he is emboldened to do this shite.
