Venezuelans are literally throwing money in the trash. But give them time, the socialist/communist/leftist will eventually get it right.

Someone with more motivation than me needs to collect all the Hollywood quotes about what a hero Chavez was and how Venezuela is a utopia.

Well, clearly that’s a problem with world currencies and has absolutely nothing to do with marxism and socialism.

So it looks as though we’re coming to the end of the line: Every last avenue for people to put a meal on the table has been exhausted.

A video that went viral recently showed Venezuelans literally running into a cow pasture to stone a calf to death to try to get a meal.

Bernie once said you’re more likely to achieve the American dream in Venezuela than in America

In his defense, I could open a deli there right now and have a packed house. None of them would be able to buy anything, but a packed house.

Upward mobility has always been a hallmark of command economies.

This is why for 1000s of years real money was gold or silver.

In 2011, Sanders said

“the American dream is more apt to be realized in South America, in places such as Ecuador, Venezuela and Argentina.”

He then praised countries with food lines, saying that rationing was a sign of equality and success.

And this is the hero of the Leftist. Very telling. If it's bad for America, the left is for it.

At this point in time, any person that tries to promote or defend the principles of command economies needs to be immediately dismissed in terms of credibility.

It's like promoting the principles of alchemy.

Don't know why you're laughing. Venezuela has actually achieved the dream Bernie and his Bros have for America.

Well to be fair, command economies are amazing as long as you're one of the ones in command.

These days most people who advocate command economies also want to be the ones in command for that very reason.

Not real socialism!

Just like if liberals ever turn us into a third world shithole that runs on socialism.. they will then scream that it's not real socialism.

Actually, in the long run it all sort of falls apart even for them.

Would you rather be "in command" of a place like Venezuela or a successful capitalist entrepreneur in the US?

It is truly mind boggling how the country that has the largest oil reserves in the world is completely without currency of value. It really is an impressive feat of incompetence even for Socialists. Bravo.

Well yes. It takes a special type of arrogance to think you know what's best for everyone. The same type of arrogance also makes you think your style of life will last forever.

The person who wants to be "in command" wants to be so specifically because they know they can never be a successful capitalist entrepreneur, despite whether they'll admit it to themselves or not.

Clearly, he's feeding his military and para-military well. I'm surprised he's lasted this long.

How much more democratic socialism can those people take?
