Nixon was the deep state. He administration was full of CIA spooks and crooks like Howard Hunt and genocidal psychopaths like Kissinger. He got what he deserved. Not so much for watergate which as others have said really wasn’t that big of a deal, but more for all his machinations in Southeast Asia.
Second it’s hilarious to see this board conflating JFK with Nixon. This place is full of people who would have been cheering Kenndys death if they were around for it and calling him globalist, socialist scum etc.

They railroaded Nixon. The deep state wanted him gone and they got him. Geoff Shepherd , one of Nixon’s attorney has spoken about this

yes. Everybody heard him on tape telling the CIA to shut down the investigation of dudes who broke into his opponents' campaign offices to fix the bugs they had previously planted but had gone bad (funded by his campaign, btw).
