FIFY. Just got a call from daycare at 6am this morning telling me I cannot bring the kids in because one of their classmates tested positive yesterday. The earliest I can bring them (twin 5 year old girls) back is next Wednesday if they take a test Sunday orbla5er and it is negative. With no negative test the earliest is next Friday.
This is the third time in the last two months. I told them. We're going to lose our jobs over this sooner than later and had nothing to say.

The court is now just another political entity. I thought there was a chance it could save us but I believe all hope is lost. The sucking sound you here is our country going faster and faster down a dark hole.

We should probably at least wait for the ruling before throwing our hands up in despair. They've been making better choices recently.

Find a new daycare….
My kids daycare only closed for a month back in 2020 and have shut down or refused service since.

Words cannot express my disgust at Sonja Soltamayor. Her arguing with that lawyer and inventing facts about Covid hospitalizations was so completely inappropriate. I believe it was deliberate and meant to create public pressure on ACB Kav, and Roberta. Since they’ve already demonstrated their susceptibility to it.
I think she should be impeached for it.

The job of government, all branches, is to make as many people miserable as possible. It serves two purposes, get revenge on those that are independent and promote dependency on government to solve problems it creates.

Sounds like a new daycare is in need.
Ours will send a letter to the app if a staff member or student test positive. But as long as our child shows no symptoms its normal life for them.

Ya our daycare has these quarantine rules even in a red state because they are following the state standard. They don't want to get sued.
I will say I feel like the parents in my kid's class have an unspoken no test policy. I see classes get booted all the time but not ours.

That's why it doesn't help me to just up and pull them out to another daycare. I live in red Indiana, but the state accreditation body mandates that daycare and daycare professionals follow CDC guidelines in daycare settings. There's not another daycare I can take them to that does not follow the same requirements. It's bullshite. Unfortunately my wife and I can't just quit our jobs and up and move away. I don't understand how people act like that's so easy to do.

I’m starting to come to the realization that if they had 5 to block they would have issued a stay so it wouldn’t go into effect. The fact that they didn’t makes me think it’s going to get the green light from our judiciary. This country is beyond doomed.

Nah, I actually think the stay will be issued but the dissenting justices are writing a thesis to give either state agencies or OSHA another crack at this.
At this point it'll just delay it, but not eliminate the issue.

Wont happen until June and since mandate will already be in place, it will be left alone but a stern warning to not do it again.
