Democrat judges never waiver in their support for dem issues. Regardless if it's constitutional or not. But thanks for trying to gaslight.
By the way, i know you are chickenshit and will abandon this thread rather than debate.

I should have been more clear. I'm not completely surprised when an appellate court overrules individual lower judges. But to me it's just really weird that you can get a majority vote one way from an appellate court only to have the Supreme Court go unanimous against that majority.
That just seems sort of what the frick to me

Democrat Presidents appoint judges that have a history of liberal rulings or liberal interpretations of the law. Republicans appoint judges that have a conservative background.
Democrat Presidents have made better appointments that fit their positions.
Judges don’t change that much overtime

Originalism vs "living document" isn't conservative vs liberal. It's law and order vs tyranny and chaos.
Categorizing in a partisan manner legitimizes tyranny and chaos.

It comes down to constitutional theory. Conservatives tend to be originalists or textualists, and liberals tend to be living constitutionalists, lending to judicial activism. Recent conservative appointees have adopted the liberal approach of reinterpreting the constitution as they see fit.
I firmly believe that Scalia and Ginsberg were the last true jurists. SCotUS is just another layer of activism now.

Because there are different interpretations of the law. There are different viewpoints and philosophies.
Also, the proper acronym is SCOTUS. USSC is the acronym for the United States Sentencing Commission.

Why do they vote down party lines?
Ever since the decision that the Constitution was a “living document” that changes, well that’s a slippery slope and political views now come into play. The case was bullshite.
