after the absolute HELL that USAA put my daughter and my family through - they deserve every possible negative thing that could ever happen to them, IMO

This smells like bullshite.
Been a member of USAA for 27 years, never had a bad experience. They have been a breeze to work with for couple of auto accidents and two roofs being replaced.
Use them for banking and insurance.

Spoke with a support today because I needed some documents. He was for sure an American. USAA has been great for both home and auto. Never had an issue and they never raise my rates.
