I posted this last month as well, and again, if we take it with context it's not what it seems.

However, I'm not giving that context because MONTH after MONTH the proggie filth would try and regurgitate their latest marching order headlines with our zero self-thought or analysis...so here is the headline FOR THE SECOND MONTH IN A ROW in all of its glory.

Are these people even here anymore? This board has been VERY one sided since the Muller dud. And say what you want, having those dissenting opinions made this a better place. We've really fallen into a group think and its showing in the quality of responses.

Of course it's good news when we export more than we import.

The U.S. trade deficit's unexpected narrowing was driven largely by a surge in civilian aircraft exports, which may come under pressure after the grounding of Boeing Co.’s 737 Max planes.

ouch.

I'm just curious. America and China haven't signed a new trade agreement yet, so what's behind this surge in exports to China? Have they made some handshake deals?

They finally grew tired of being wrong all the time and being pointed to and laughed at. Rather than accept the facts and reality they choose to stick their fingers in their ears and sing lalalalala rather than hear that things are fine, the Earth is not going to fly away from the Sun, nuclear war will not turn us into zombies...they want their misery and doom and gloom but the rest of us enjoy good times.

As far as needing their dissenting voices, forget them, leave in the dust as we continue to succeed. The poor (minded) will always be among us, we are not obligated to carry their weaknesses for them.

Much like inflation and deflation, neither a growth or shrinkage in the trade gap is inherently good or evil and much like a weakening or strengthening dollar, there are winners and losers.

It's the systemic cause of those gaps that determine what is "good or bad", in this case lets take very simplified versions of much bigger issues such as trade good dumping, currency manipulation and other overal government induced economic disadvantages to trade partners and you have what many would call a unnatural, unfair trade gap...i.e. bad...and to see that reversed would naturally be...good.

Let me know if you have any other overly broad and vague questions that I'm assuming you think are thread ending "gotchyas" and I can address them for you.

well, that gap grew 10% trump's first year, and 13% in 2018 (a 10-year high!)

but from there, it looks like 2019 might not grow much from that high!

Sorry, but a one-month reversal does not tell you all of that. You are really reaching.

this month's "reversal" would be the 5th-largest monthly deficit of obama's entire presidency

the goods deficit for this month would still be the largest of obama's tenure

pretty meh reversal tbqh

Is a decrease after an all-time high commendable, or not. You idiots used to defend Obama’s spending as a cut from the all-time high after the “stimulus”. I mean....the 180s y’all pull based upon a letter behind a name is something. You aren’t the brightest bulb, are you?
