This guys had a future in Leavenworth. He defected and will be treated like the another a-hole servicemen who defected and sold out his country to live a life in Pyongyang.

You have the highest levels of military leadership on the peninsula on edge over this nuke sub visit trying to gauge what retaliatory actions NK is gonna take.

Then, out of left field, comes your late in the recruiting cycle, smooth-brained, junior enlisted soldier. I think this is what they tried to teach us in the Marine Corps about the Strategic Corporal.

You know things have gotten bad in America when our soldiers attempt to escape to North Korea.

But don't worry Ole Creepy Groping Nibbling Joe Biden will send our Bureau of Ataball to clear this up.

No kidding. No MP’s available anywhere? Don’t get me wrong though, I think I would’ve tried my chances at the next airport instead of running into NK.

There are so many questions to ask...first off, from what I read, he was stationed at Fort Bliss...what in the world was he doing in Korea in the first place?

Who escorted him to the airport?

Why wasn't there any coordination to have airport security have someone put him on the plane?

Why wasn't he taken to Osan and flown back on a military flight?

IMO, this young man has more than a few screws loose...

UN Command says it's communicating with North Korea about detained US soldier

https://www.yahoo.com/news/us-sends-another-submarine-south-025855718.html

quote:

The American-led U.N. Command said Monday it has started a conversation with North Korea about a U.S. soldier who ran into the North last week across one of the world's most heavily fortified borders.

Andrew Harrison, a British lieutenant general who is the deputy commander at the U.N. Command, refused to say when the conversation started, how many exchanges have taken place and whether the North Koreans responded constructively, citing the sensitivity of the discussions. He also declined to detail what the command knows about Pvt. Travis King's condition
