If so, WHY?
If they are not representing the United States of America then we should not pay anything toward their self-promotion.
Yes some good well intention athletes will be hurt because of this but the only way to stop this nonsense is for those involved to put their foot downs and say enough.

This is all self-marketing. They've seen that CK and Rapinoe have turned it into a big moneymaker, so it's become the new way to shamelessly promote themselves.

I think countries are allowed up to 3 competitors in an Olympic event, provided they otherwise qualify. Getting beat at the trials doesn't mean she can't medal at the games.
"Allowed" and "qualify" doesn't mean "must", though. Leave this nutty girl home.

The anthem has played at the same time every day and is even listed on the daily schedule to play at that time. That’s a lot of luck considering they manage to set her up before any of the events started and we’ll before they even knew she won. Hell, she’s like 7 feet shorter in distance than the winner and only beat 4th place by 2 inches so it’s not like they need her contribution. She should just go ahead and move on since those in charge are against her.

If the anthem was just being played at a regular time, there was no reason she was obligated to remain at the podium. I would say on. But third place was on the ground.
So she could have simply walked off. She chose instead to make a statement and now is pissed the statement wasn’t received like she had hoped it would be.
