Whomever is imagining the overall strategy of Trump's move to truly "drain the swamp", is brilliant. What they are doing is first proving that overwhelming force against crime, WORKS, and the people affected by said crime will love it. Next comes the guns, which are preparatory action for what they KNOW will come when the real 'draining' and prosecutions begin. They are putting in place an armed force in the major urban areas that will be gas lit when the Dems/MSM scream Muh Dictator.

The took the money out that the Dems used to buy violent 'protestors' via demonetizing USAID and now they are building a military-based firewall against overt and real insurrection.

I would not be surprised if S. Miller and S. Bannon are in on the strategy. Both are very smart and know exactly what is inevitably coming., UNLESS that overwhelming force scenario makes any insurrection suicidal.

Another 'conspiracy theory' from your's truly.

Why don’t you tell us why then?

Because this entire statement is complete bullshite:

minimal training outside of boot camp and what training they did have was geared towards combat, not policing. It probably took a couple weeks to identify capable soldiers and give them the proper training needed to carry loaded weapons on the street while in a position of authority

MP units routinely train in law enforcement activities. They also train in US&R support, supporting civilian LEA's, and disaster response. Arming posture for these NG soldiers is probably coming straight from the SecDef's office too.

How “routinely” do national guardsmen train in this role? 2-4 times a year? When they’re not doing their PT test weekend or medical weekend of family weekend? And even for active duty MPs, for most they focus on things like POW detainment or regular combat patrol duties. The MPs that actually act as cops on bases don’t deploy because they’re busy being cops on bases.

And let’s even assume I’m wrong all about all of this(I’m not)

Then why weren’t these guys armed with loaded weapons from day one? And I still doubt they have any arrest authority.

Seems even without weapons their presence is getting the job done, but I fully believe the National Guard should be carrying weapons.

Also, many of these NG MPs are likely current or former law enforcement officers for civilian agencies in the greater D.C./NOVA/Baltimore area.

There probably had to be a "come to Jesus meeting" between the OSD, legal, White House, etc. on just what the ROE is going to be. Then, the troops have to be briefed on what that is.

2 weeks sounds about right.

You’ve been racking up a whole lot of “full of shite” points lately.

Are you vying to be the next tarzana or VOR?

Maybe you should sit down for a lil while.

So the troops and their leadership had to be trained on when and when not the use of deadly force was authorized.
