It’s pretty clear this is not a war on drugs.
They are gearing up for regime change in Venezuela. I like it, but that’s what it looks to be.

And the link is from NBC - "an alleged Venezuelan drug cartel boat"
Alleged is the important word here. The MSM is going strong to try to paint the current admin as reckless or whatever.

So these incredibly expensive over the horizon ocean going speed boats are just some Venezuelans out having some fun and not being tracked by military intelligence as they load their narcotics and take to sea?

It would be funny to find out it wasn’t a drug boat
So you throw that dumbass comment out there without following up with a "why"....typical liberal dimass.

No, they are running narcotics. And that’s not why we’re there.

They shouldn't have picked them up in the first place.
Now the Democrats will want to give them a home, a vote, etc.

Dude, we are finally prosecuting a “war on drugs”. If the illegitimate Venezuelan government happens to topple all the better. There are a shite ton of respectable Venezuelan’s that would quickly return and take over it would be nothing like we have seen with other regime change operations.

We are there for regime change. And I approve of it, so stop the sanctimonious lecturing about how this is different. They are all different. Some are stupid, and some are smart. I think this is a smart one.
My only complaint is that this should be run through congress. We are getting in dangerous territory when a President can openly violate the Constitution by conducting an undeclared war on another nation.
ETA: However, if Trump can topple the regime by cutting off the flow of narcotics, and thus the money it brings in, then he does not need congress’ approval.

“Wishy washy” is a pejorative meaning changing one’s mind. There is none of that in my post, which discusses alternatives.

Pictures showing one boater hands up and then face down on the boat ALSO showed the boat to have many, many closely packed square packages tightly wrapped in brown ?paper.
The brown wasn't teak or any wood that I've ever seen on boats. The packages were fit together as if the boat were built to hold them. The fit wasn't random.
