We are testing a ton more people, thus we're picking up more a/mild symptomatic folks in the equation.

I think you mean "highest", not "lowest".

nope. drrr

and 22nd lowest to be exact according to link

eta well ill be damned, youre right.

theres only 44 countries listed so according to that list we are the 23rd highest and also 22nd lowest. Thats dumb and not a good indicator of world standing at all

Then dropping from 15th to 23rd is a bad thing. It means we went from 15th "lowest" to 23rd "lowest".

WTF is going on in here? How can going form 15th to 23rd be an improvement?

Because the chart is listed from highest death rate to lowest. We moved from 15 to 22 (apparently), meaning that our death rate moved from a higher death rate to a lower death rate. Hence my initial post in this thread.

Lower death rate % means less people with confirmed cases are dying.

yes that would be worse. but still 23rd or 22nd best would be decent standing on the mortality rate had it been a list of all countries. I then realized theres only 44 countries listed... so its only a good indicator when comparing to other countries listed, but not as far as world standing goes

All I know is that I would hate to be living in the little country of San Marino. Their death rate per million people is 737. Ours is 10 per million.

But that's not what you're saying when you say that we were 15 last week and 22/23 this week. Think about it.
