Well, I don't think they've gone public with the information. Enough to prevent $200/barrel.

Correct plus much (not all) of Europe isn't really on the waters of the world. Plus many Euro countries are not just landlocked but small. You really expect Luxemborg to have aircraft carriers?

Real time monitoring, you say? Hmmm . . . let me think about that. You should think about that while I'm thinking about that.

They spent 47 years building a military and in the end they have a few guys in bayliners attacking cargo ships

You have zero understanding of how they built their military or the doctrine they use.

Irans military is a defensive military that does not have offensive capability. Their airforce still used F-4's and F-5's. They had less than a dozen true ships.

But try an invasion with land forces. It will not go so well.

Similar to your take about inflation being near 0 since Trump came onto office—-one has to wonder where do you get your alternative data from?

CHI-na

quote:

A rapid reduction in Chinese crude imports has helped stop oil from trading even higher since the outbreak of the U.S.-Iran war — but analysts warn that price rises will be needed as market balance is gradually restored.

The Middle East conflict has entered its 100th day — but fears of a $200-per-barrel spike have failed to materialize, despite global crude supplies tumbling 14% since hostilities began on Feb. 28.

Market strategists say China is acting as a key pressure valve on energy markets, with Beijing’s move to cut crude imports from 11.7 million barrels a day in February to just under 9 million a day by late May helping to ease the Strait of Hormuz supply shock.

China’s cut represents about 74% of the decline in global crude imports, a “disproportionate” share of the adjustment, according to J.P. Morgan analysts, who said this has helped prices remain “remarkably calm” four months into the conflict.

You do realize blockading the Strait hurt Iran more than it did us? Clearly you don’t

Lets be honest, for the past couple of weeks we have for the most part with the blockade, but to say we did from day 1 is so asinine.

I agree with you. But there was a deal made when it sounds like we held at least 95% of the cards.

You don’t make deals when you are the big man in the room.

I'm sorry that you're not up to date on the totality of this conflict.

Also, I never said anything nice about China. I just explained to you why your point was bad, citing the information you were clearly ignorant of (relying on conspiracy theories instead)

What an idiot. So you were for the needless destruction of Iranian civil and energy infrastructure? Who do you think is going to pay for all of this?
