US Army Reserve asks whether units can be ready in as little as 3 months for Cuba action

The missive does not mention Cuba, but the outlet cited multiple US officials who claimed anonymously that the Communist island is the focus of military planning.

This makes more sense than Iran, but in fairness the military is always working through readiness scenarios.

Lets look at the scoresheet.
Venezuela: Zero dead. Maduro bagged. They then bend the knee and give up oil to us forever.
Iran: Zombied. Decapitated to the point nobody can stop anything from happening in the country. No money for Hamas, Houthis, Hezbollah, etc, etc, etc. No way to build more high tech stuff. No way to pay anyone. No way to buy food. Nothing. Rebellion hapening. But somebody runs a howitzer up to the beach and hits a tanker and suddenly the strong Islamic Republic owns the straits to the mid wits.
Cuba: Zombied. No oil coming in without our say so. Easy pickings that we won't have to do anything offensive. Just move in and help get them back up to the 21st century while rounding up an insurgency that won't be popular at all and likely will be hunted down and killed.

if we ever took another nation, it should be Cuba.....makes total sense to own that place and fix it for the people down there.
