The old APFT you could power walk and still pass the women's 2 mile run, it was a joke. It seemed like they designed it so that women could not fail and somehow there were always some that would fail. It is kind of funny to see when they are moving towards "gender neutral" that 65% of the females are failing and of the 35% that are passing how many are passing at command standards? Minimum score to pass with Army Standards was a 60 in each event and 180 out of a 300 total. All of my Company Commanders and most require a 70 in each event with a 210 or you have to go to fat boy PT. I bet that half of that 35% is barely passing.
