Gut wrenching to lose any of our soldiers.
Losing ‘em in a “routine refueling” mission is especially tough.

Per Fox News ….

The U.S. says the five men were U.S. Army Special Operations aviation soldiers conducting a routine refueling flight at the time of the crash. The Pentagon identified the deceased as the following:

So, SOAR? Not surprising they’re there seeing as how their counterpart is confirmed in Israel

Also “suffered a mishap” is an interesting turn of phrase

Why were troops on a chopper that was doing a refueling exercise? What purpose do the troops serve in such an exercise?

Well they aren't going to come out and say they were lost during a top secret operation

We’ll never know if Iran or Hezbollah shot it down.

They don’t want more rage against Muslim countries and more pressure to retaliate.

It’s the normal crew compliment (plus 1). Pilot, co-pilot, BMQ Crew Chief, FMQ crew chief. That’s the normal four.

Try to be respectful. Thankfully my son is ok but that’s his unit and he is there. I got a text from him about 50 minutes ago saying “Hey I just wanted to let you know I’m ok”.

It sucks that 5 family members said their last goodbyes on October 14th (when they deployed) and are getting flag draped caskets back.
