America has a history of invading people and supporting overthrows of valid democracies when it suits our interests.

Not sure why people still think we have the morale high ground to referee the rest of the worlds border disputes.

Who said anything about moral high ground? If we need to do something we do it. If someone wants to stop us they can try. That is the way the real world works. That is the way the real world has always worked.

I don't think we should get involved, not at this point. See how it plays out. Obama also shouldn't pop off his mouth unless he is willing to back up his assertions. He should have learned that lesson with Syria

He knows Obama is weak and will not follow through on his idle warnings. Obama has made the U.S. weak and vulnerable.

I agree with you. We do what we want just like Russia will do what they want. All the idiots talking about as the leader of the free world Obama needs to take a stand against tyranny is delusional.

It would mean Russia thinks Obama is completely irrelevant and a way of telling him to shut up and know his place.

Putin is now world police. Obama has peace prize though so that's something he can hang on his mantel.

If we had a base in say, Tamaulipas, Mexico, and a large presence of U.S. citizens were there and being threatened with violence, we might be just as inclined to do exactly what Putin is doing.

Would we have ethnically cleansed that part of Mexico like they did?

That is not what is being said you fool. It's the fact Obama shoots off hollow warnings and draws lines in the sand. If he is going to do nothing then he should think about the words he uses genius.

If true, it's fricking on like donkey kong.

Or Putin gives absolutely zero fricks what we think about it.

Putin can use this secure the peace, and give the country the calm it needs to secure new elections and stabilize the country. He should do everything he can to do it without firing off any ordinance and then he can point his finger at the U.S. and say, "See. Russians don't need to go in all Cowboy western and blow things up and demoralize a country the way the U.S. does. We care for peace, stability and the strength of our neighbors, not to pin them down and subserviant to another corrupt government."

Putin has all the cards, here.

Exactly. I don't give a shite about the moral high ground. We're the most powerful nation on earth. If we want something, we take it. Leave the second guessing to the historians.

"We drew a line, Jerry! We drew a line!"

Obama never looks more like an academician than when he tries his hand at foreign policy. Putin knows that Obama is an AA prospect pretending to be a bonafide major leaguer.
