Update SCOTUS opinion on Trump tax returns will be released at 10 am this morning

The general thinking from people who watch the court and watch how people are leaning in oral arguments is that they will rule congress does not have a right to his taxes but the SDNY might. That is definitely not anything I would be betting money on though.

It will be interesting to see if a President forfeits his right to privacy for periods before he is in office.
On one hand I kind of hope they insist he has to share them. That ruling can be weaponized in so many ways against political opponents. I also would love to see the dims rejoice at him having to share them and then finding out he is worth a shite-ton of money and there is nothing out of the ordinary. They will spend between now and November trying to make something of nothing.
Also, if they are forced to be released it will "cure" corona.

Tax returns don't really speak to much in terms of legal requirements for the POTUS. I'd rather something like a birth certificate be required rather than tax returns.
