Upcoming FISA 702 bill renewal has a tasty tid-bit revised in it

Thomas Massie highlights, that in the bill that will renew 702 FISA spying on Americans anonymously, Congress has stipulated the FBI Director must seek permission from Congress if a member's name comes up in a term search.
Now, we know the FBI will agree and still do what ever it wants, but it's kinda $hitty that Speaker Johnson fights for him and his cohorts, but not America.

ETA:
BREAKING: The rule to reauthorize the unconstitutional FISA bill that allows the FBI to spy on American citizens without a warrant just failed in the House.
Vote: 193–228; 19 Republicans voted No.
Good news—however, Speaker Johnson plans to bring a clean FISA renewal next week.

Congress gives itself a carve out in the reauthorization of FISA 702 warrantless spying on Americans.
The bill requires the FBI to notify and seek consent from Congress before violating the privacy of Congressmen.
This will persuade many members of Congress to vote yes.

He's a third rate hack who should be thrown out of the Republican party.

They all know what red meat to throw our way. None of them are "angels".

Well, you expect them to look after your interests? Really? They have been fricking us over for a VERY long time...

Doesn't sound like equal protection under the law to me...which would seem to be kinda important considering this is a BLATANT frickING VIOLATION OF THE 4TH AMENDMENT

I’ll take a motion to vacate for $200.
This is intolerable. Blatant 4th amendment violation.

I love SDV, but he is deranged over Massie. Arguably the most based guy in Congress. Probably the only R in DC who is not a complete Israel cuck.

The love-hate of Massie and Rand Paul is hilarious.

This violates the 14th Amendment and equal protection.
Dude is a bitch. I never thought we'd see a government official that was such a massive, disgusting coward like Jeff Sessions. But, here we are...

What has this amounted to? What has this guy gotten done? Paul as well. Meanwhile the Ds just steamroll everyone

No one cares.
Whenever I bring up privacy issues to people in real life they think it is cute to push back on any concerns.

It's hard to fight against literally the entire system.
You guys like to talk about the Establishment or Uniparty, but the Big Government grouping is much larger and more powerful than both of those constructs.
In 2020 FISA was re-authorized 284 - 122
In 2018, FISA was re-authorized 256 - 164 (Gaetz voted in support of it )

FWIW when Paul and Massie speak you should be taking notes. Time for you to learn. You have a skull full of mush right now.
