Like the overbearing travel sport/AAU parent who thinks by contributing $$$ they should get a bigger say (and often ONLY say) than everyone else IRT how things should be run.

Do you think that any travel sport/AAU parent who bankrolls an entire league is NOT going to have a say?

The UN collapses into Chapter 7 bankruptcy without our aid and without their being allowed to operate within our borders.

I really have no problem with the U.N. vote.

If they think that's in the best interests of their nations, great. I 100% agree with Trump on this. You do you, we'll do us.

And, now that they're on record. They should expect Trump to act in accordance with how he views OUR best interests.

Especially the nations of Europe are constantly telling us how superior they are. Well awesome.

Pay your own fricking way dudes.

Do you think Trump bluffs? He's made a living walking away from deals that weren't in his best interest.

I absolutely think Trump bluffs. I can’t believe you don’t think he does.

You're really not a very good negotiator if you don't bluff.

That said, be careful about calling bluffs when the other side of the table holds all the cards.

seems south sudan, malawi and rwanda are keeping their long range plans of global financial takeover close to the vest by abstaining.

America bitch. We don't care what the UN's vote is.

The UN is a meaningless gab fest.

Just a glance at the General Secretaries and the countries they were from shows the UN is a worthless organization.

People can talk all they want about how the UN has done this or that. Secured peace blah blah blah.

The fact is, it has always been the power and clout of the United States that has made the difference.
The UN shite is just for show

I'm with you, but serious question. Why is it in the US's best interest to move the embassy to Jerusalem? Seems like he's just pandering to religious nuts.

Sure, but you can only get called on your bluff so many times before no one takes you seriously. It will be interesting to see how Trump proceeds here.

Because it's Israel's capitol and all their government is there?

Well. Islam is BY FAR, the biggest scourge on the planet and, there's exactly one nation in the midst of that scourge that is NOT Muslim.

And they want their capital there.

I'm atheist and frankly, I think that the absurdity of telling a nation they can't choose where their own capital is is just amazing.

Yup.

How fricking weird is it to tell any nation on the planet, "well, we don't like where you put YOUR capital".

It's even weirder when the only reason you're doing it is to appease the nastiest culture on the planet.

Well the state of Israel, in its modern incarnation, is one of the few nations on Earth that was literally created by the international powers that be. And I support the recognition of the capital as the historical one of old Israel. But my point is one worth considering. Most other people didn't get their country gift wrapped and handed to them. Now granted, the Israelis have had to fight like hell to keep it.

Canada changed its vote to abstain to avoid being seen as a US lapdog.
