Guess you think the US Constitution is fable too, huh? Because it's old

The meaning of that word has changed several times over two centuries, and there is no proof that it meant “homosexual” when Paul used it.

I’m not righteous. I’m a giant piece of shite and fall short if any and all things that I should be on any given day. I’m just saying that while I fail often, I do my best to adhere to the Bible.
If you want to call me out on not being charitable enough, cool I accept that. I fall short of selling everything I own. I’m not saying that somebody with homosexual feelings is any less likely to enter the kingdom than I am.
But that still doesn’t mean I get to rewrite scripture to suit my needs.

It’s a lot more than two centuries...still...on what do you base your assertion that the meaning changed?

Glad you recognize I’m your intellectual superior. Take your ball and go home.

Do tell, speaker for Paul. I'll hang up and listen. Also wonder if you meant 20 centuries?

Gay preachers don't concern me.

Arsenokoitai is used by Paul in the greek language in the book of Romans.
Arsen and koites is the Greek translation of the words from the scripture of Leviticus.
A person can go on and on about Sodom and Gomorrah being about inhospitality and new testament verses being about pedastry or natural ssa that is condoned......
But at the end of the day the language connection is clear from the old to the new testament and Jesus himself goes out of his way to affirm a man and a woman marriage.
No Christian I know (and I am in conservative circles of faith) wants it to say what it says. There is a tremendous amount of empathy. People are not going out of their way reading into the text what it doesn't say to harm People. People truly care about others even if it is uncomfortable. In the end the conservative Christians take scripture seriously and the liberal Christians do not.

Not sure where you get this information, but it is factually incorrect. In other Greek texts, alongside biblical texts, "arsen" defines as "a man" and "koites [koiten]" defines as "lying with a man". Context clues also help to verify that this definition has been static since Greek literature.

Religion is just a fear based method to control people. Religious leaders are nothing more than intellectual slave holders.
Religion provides the basic cultural framework for society. It’s how we see the world.
And that’s true even for atheists.
They may reject the idea of a god. But they can not escape the cultural influence of faith.
Elizabeth Warren is probably a non believer, for example, but her worldview is entirely Puritan in nature, and comes to her straight down the line from Cotton Mather and Jon Winthrop.

Those people dropping that quote are ironically aligned with
Climate change alarmists
Identity politics and a racial lens on everything
Russian hoax
Political correctness
Being intolerant about "hate" speech
Etc.
Now if a conservative atheist uses that quote then that person has probably had some bad catholic experience. Lol
