1968, you know we go back years. You were one of the few posters who would engage with me in polite discussion whenever I was one of a handful of Ron Paul supporters on the old Auburn board.

You always were receptive to my arguments and I always have remembered and appreciated you for that nicety. So I offer the following comments with that spirit in mind:

Russia is far from the only aggressor in this conflict. The post Cold War assurances from the United States to Russia that the West would not expand eastward is but the tip of the iceberg in the deteriorating relations and distrust between the two superpowers.

Since the end of the Cold War, the United States has by far been the more expansionist military power than Russia and it is not even close. Indeed, the CIA instigated color revolutions throughout Eastern Europe through successive Republican and Democratic administrations inflamed relations between NATO and Russia.

The NATO debacle in the Balkans certainly did nothing to improve Russia’s trust of the foreign policy objectives of the West. After NATO’s aggressive military intervention in the Balkans and the 20 year occupation of Afghanistan, it indeed is absurd to continue to repeat the damnable lie that NATO is a purely defensive military alliance.

The only reason the Biden administration has deployed these missiles is to make it harder for the incoming Trump administration to successfully negotiate a peaceful conclusion to the conflict. It is a craven power play pure and simple.

the sad part is none of you knew anything about any of it until CNN and MSNBC started wiping your shite covered retard asses for you in Feb 2022, but then they only told you what they wanted your dirty shitty arse to know

The only thing you know about any of this is the bullshite you heard other dumbasses like yourself say. Again, the right wing has become utterly as stupid as the liberals. They can't read, and are clueless about what they are talking about, but somehow still have an opinion. This makes them what Lenin would call a "useful idiot!"

Capitalists are evil. OK, I understand now. Someone crawled out of their Reddit playground.

This war is not being managed by Zelensky. It’s being ran by Neo-Cons in DC. It’s also not a Commie versus USA type war where we are bringing freedom and democracy to Ukraine.

Putin is showing restraint much like Israel does with Hamas. Both have the capability to crush their opponents if they so chose.

If Putin is marching towards Europe, why hasn’t he started carpet bombing large cities and pushing harder into Ukraine?
He could if he wanted. He’s simply making his point that he’s not yielding to let a former Soviet country become an essential US staging area.

There are no more liberals. You people became authoritarian progressives.

Liberals would understand the huge difference between capitalism and socialism. You cant.

EVERYTHING you are reading is controlled propaganda. If it was truthful, it probably wouldn't be allowed on our shelves. You don't seem to understand this, probably because of your age. I have the ability to see semantics, while you don't even know what the word means.

The best thing to ever happen at this point is for America to go to war, and force people like you to join. If this doesn't happen, Gen Z is going to continue to become lazy, whiny, useless, and entitled. A hard head makes a soft arse. That's why you are posting the bullshite you are posting. You haven't experienced much yet, but you have a strong biased opinion about everything. In a few years, you will come back and realize everything you thought you knew was wrong.

My goodness

This may be the most bizarre take I’ve ever read on Tigerdroppings.

War violates the free market by relocating scarce goods and resources away from their most efficient means towards the military and government. It is contradictory with capitalism.

Nope. You failed economics.
quote:

How do you think monarchies got here?

Monopolies, you idiot, are products of economic policy that allows oligarchs (of any nation or governmental stripe) to run roughshod over their industry competition. Standard Oil was bowed down to on it by weak fricks in American govt, and then the same Standard Oil was bowed down to again in Russia after the Bolshevik revolution because they were allowed to roll into old Russia and control oil there, behind the so-called "Iron Curtain"

The Bolshevik revolution was cheered by Standard Oil, as were the refineries and the eastern United States during their comeuppance

you're literally just throwing shite against the wall - you have zero idea what you're talking about

Well, it's common sense. All throughout history, people are fighting over the same resources. Television/media put their propaganda on it to make it sound patriotic. There is nothing fair about it. The strongest side gets the spoils, and the loser dies. I thought everyone knew this. With today's political correctness, evidently not. Even in the Old Testament of the Bible, this process is happening. Evidently Gen Z has been sheltered from these facts.

It almost gives me a headache to try to make people understand that America, or any other country for that matter, isn't run by 'I have a dream' speeches.
