It doesn't sound like it. It sounds like Ukraine will contribute proceeds from minerals into a fund that will then invest in Ukraine.
Or did I read that incorrectly?

Reading into this, theres no real substance. Almost all investment would be post Trump presidency.
This a PR win for Trump who will likely use this as a reason to give aid/support to Ukraine or use against Europe in a trade.
Edit-read somewhere theres roughly 10B of economically recovered resources available

In actuality? Yes. This is exactly what happened. Art of the deal.
In the Legacy Media reports though, and the opinions of DU and certain O-T and BlueSky posters? "Blumpf caved to overlord Zelenskyy and is literally now joining the Axis of Evil to wage a war against democracy!"

Not true. Look at the resource maps, Russia would have to conquer effectively all of Ukraine to get most of the resources. Many of the deposits are in the north west - as far from the frontline as possible

That’s what I’m wondering. If the fund is to invest in Ukraine projects, how does that pay us back for the billions Biden already gifted away?
Could be that US companies will be running it. Brings $'s back to the US.

Z-man will probably agree to anything except new elections at this point.

God this “he canceled elections to be a dictator” argument is so exhaustingly idiotic.
Ukraine’s constitution says no elections during martial law (Zelensky has nothing to do with that). Russia invaded Ukraine and and Zelensky declared martial law as being invaded is literally why martial law policies exist. Fun fact, the US declared martial law when wars took place on US soil (civil war, war of 1812).
Moral of the story, had Russia not invaded there would have been elections. They played themselves.
If you want to hate Ukraine then that’s fine, just don’t be a naive hypocrite about it.

Nobody’s talking about Martial law except you, dummy. One of the concessions Trump was floating last week was new elections. Obviously Z doesn’t want that because he would get trounced. He’d probably make any other concession such as billions in mineral rights to keep his job.
