I won’t be updating thread much, but you can discuss results here

In the UK, the exit poll is very very accurate.

We should know if tories get a majority or not based on it

Con: 368 (+51)
Lab: 191 (-71)
SNP: 55 (+20)
LDem: 13 (+1)

IIRC, isn’t Labour basically representing portions of London plus Scotland at this point?

Labour is stanch anti-Brexit
Touries are split between pro and anti brexit touries.
The hope is that the pro-brexit faction will win a large enough majority to tell the other factions to shove it and finally proceed with carrying out the will of the people.

No. In Scotland the SNP is the major party. Labour has most of the cities. Places like Liverpool and the surrounding areas haven't gone Conservative in a long time.

It's clear the voters over there are furious at Labor for impeding Brexit.

They are on pace for their worst result since 1935.

The party is, their constituents aren't. Labour votes in places like Sunderland, the Midlands, Lancashire and Yorkshire were heavy Leave. This is why the presence of the Brexit Party in these areas is huge. A lot of Labour voters will vote Brexit, allowing the Tories to capture seats that otherwise would be impossible for them to win.

Voters don't like having their votes vetoed by their own representatives.

Our resident libs will learn this lesson soon enough firsthand.

368 seats would be the most in Parliament since Labour had 413 in 2001

Has to be the end of the road for Corbyn. Monumental result.

This is why they are getting raped. A huge % of traditional Labor voters are strongly pro-Brexit and they are voting against Labor now.

Wow, SNP at 55 seats!

Means tories did extremely well in England if they got wiped out in Scotland and still got to 368
