Then it sounds like you wouldn't be working there, either.

I don't see the problem here. He doesn't want to follow their rules, he can find a new job. As it should be.

So you’re anti-common courtesy.

Good for you.

I just don't address them as anything but their name. It saves a hell of a lot of trouble.

You can be what you want in your little play world, but don't expect others to be forced to acknowledge your imaginary friends.

I'm anti furthering your delusion.

Will you do this job the way we require it to be done?

Isn’t a religious test.

I'm good with that as long as its reciprocal that a private hospital that wants to hire exclusively Christian, Muslim, Hindu, etc., personnel can do so as well as the government outfit.

Yes, we should definitely infuse more government in our healthcare system.

You can call it that. I call it standing on principle. I've done it all my life.

If someone says “I’m a woman please
Call me miss, what’s that to you?

If your job requires you to mark peoples gender by how they identify, again what’s that to you?

Is your place in “fighting this delusion” so important and just that you’re going to be a) a dick and b) fired?

Much like I fail to see how it’s common courtesy to tell a paranoid schizophrenic that the voices inside of their head are real, it isn’t common courtesy to play into the delusions of people that think they are of a sex different than what their chromosomes dictate that they are.

The problem is he works for the government. If it was a private entity, I'd agree with you.

No ones dying on it. I'll use your first name. If that offends you, tough.

I believe in science. I'm not engaging in anti-science fantasy for the sake of appeasement.

I actually do believe it’s important enough to speak out regardless of the consequences. The idea that we can just identify as whatever we please and expect society to capitulate to those identities is ludicrous and is currently a path we are walking down. I’m not going to be party to it.

That isn't a problem. They have their laws, and he doesn't want to follow them. He can find a new place to work or the people can change the laws. It's not difficult.

Does it?

Are there private clinics who are allowed full freedom of association and make it a policy to not hire say, Muslims?
