What's with this old rerun news? Texas special session has just one item on the agenda for tomorrow, vote on the redistricting map. Currently, any member that leaves the Capitol building does so escorted by a Texas DPS state trooper. There will be a quorum and vote tomorrow.

Unlikely as the 2020 apportionment after census and subsequent redistricting, all incumbents State leg. had safe districts ,that remains.
Even now challenges at the legislative level are going to come in the Republican primary and that's because the state executive committee created Central roles and there are three state legislatures that made a censure level after weeks of negotiations and fights that took place this weekend in Austin.
Some of you might try to define it as the paxton indictment votes but that's not amongst the censurable votes as determined by the SREC. Particularly send some of the managers of the inductment process are not amongst those who are censured by the state executive committee

not the entire state. too broad a stroke. but you are correct. abbott is as bad as any governor we have had. special interest controls the purses. democrats elect the lowest common denominator, i am too old to move to alabama or Mississippi or i would. school vouchers will be a disaster, the list is too long

Yes it is
I think the legal issue is not that they can leave in the general session but if the law and constitution requires mandatory attendance at a special session ordered by the governor
Not sure that will ever be ruled in but that was raised in the argument because attendance is mandatory thisnleading to the argument of abandonment
