I’m more of the opinion of “it’s her problem”.

“Don’t tread on me” isnt only about 2nd Amendment to some of us

In regards to this. Can you tell me at how many weeks of pregnancy the baby is considered a “fetus”?

What is the time span required for transition from zygote to fetus?

And at which point there is a heartbeat?

I’ll wait.

As a Pro Life Christian Conservative I believe that the only way abortions should ever be considered is if the life of the mother was in serious jeopardy. At that point it should turn into a discussion between between a panel of doctors and the woman and her family.

Arguments can be made for dozens of other scenarios like rape, incest, fetal issues, etc... but this turns into a slippery slope.

I believe in God and have repeatedly learned over the years that God ALWAYS has a plan. Who am I to support ending a life for someone who God has a plan for?

Or perhaps they dont see the morning after pill as equivalent to killing an already born child.

Just because someone is pro choice doesn’t mean their not pro life. The zero sum game many think this issue to be is rooted in ignorance. I want zero abortions if possible and believe we should promote life. I also detest people who celebrate abortion.

So you're against capital punishment then?

This is a terrible argument, and I’m a Republican. I don’t think anyone who is pro-choice believes a human fetus isn’t life.

Although abortion is a low key issue to me, whereas it seems to be high priority for most people. I am not religious though and do not believe god or any religion should be factored into laws, and therefore a religious argument to make abortion illegal is not valid to me.

Is using anti-bacterial soap murder too?

You cant use pro-life either then, because you wont hold your God accountable for the lives he aborts (natural abortion).

You're really "pro-God's choice".

I dislike both of the terms… pro-choice and pro-life. Both are simplistic, made-for-bumpersticker sophistry, designed to sway the views of simpletons.

My general view is that any person whose viewpoint on a complex issue could be condensed to a bumper sticker is simply too stupid to sit at the adult table.

Be weird if either of us “cared” about each other’s opinions. In fact, I would have thought this was already known before joining a grown up board? Let’s make our points and stop resorting to tactics that are designed for conversation to go sideways. You have a point of view, sharpen it.

The question is the cutoff between what's considered the mother's body and choices vs. an independent human being.

Wouldn't the tie breaker be toward the one that is completely un-responsible for the situation; the little, tiny, helpless one? Not trying to be sarcastic here.

Who said it wasn't alive? All of the animals we slaughter for food were alive too. Do you think I feel remorse for swatting a fly?

I’m pro life. This is a misrepresentation of what most pro choice people believe. Frankly, it is a dumb argument on your part.

And, I hate abortion and think pro choice people are pieces of shite.

I was referring to a time cutoff.
