Two U.S. Navy EA-18G Growler jets collided midair during the Gunfighter Skies Air Show at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho. All four crew members ejected safely.

Good news for the pilots. It's the Air Force Thunderbirds.

Air Force Thunderbirds fly thr F-16 and the Air Force doesn't use the F-18 at all, they are strictly Navy and Marine planes.

The pilots came down close to the smoke. It looks like they could die of carbon monoxide poisoning in mid air.

I didn't realize they were Thunderbirds.

That's one hell of a show. Those pilots proved just how calm, cool, and collected they are to eject and save themselves from harm.

Thank God they are safe.

Yea that doesn't look real. How did they end up vertical, belly to belly like that? Then ejecting like that.

It’s an air show. It’s legit, thank goodness none of them were severely hurt and all ejected.

The black smoke is constantly replenishing the smoke cloud. You couldn't breathe in it.

That is insane how they are coming in horizontal like that, then end up nose up verticle, then seem stuck together as they go nose down verticle.

There's a problem with Growler crews. If it's not midairs, it's spatial disorientation and flying into a mountain, or it's cfit into San Diego Bay short of North Island. The plane is too expensive and mission critical to be doing exhibitions.

Yep. We have amazing aircraft and pilots who have the balls to do stuff like that and use them in combat.

Thunderbirds are F-16s, those are F/E-18s which is Navy.

The promotion for the air show said the Thunderbirds were featured.
