Then why are you melting about this relatively reasonable policy to increase supply of housing in Idaho?
Since we're disassociating California and people from this increase in housing that is

No matter what type of home they put on a 30'x50' lot...there is no room between you and the neighbors...no privacy outdoors nor much indoors. To look out the window and just see another wall or window that close?

Because it’s a farce “to increase housing supply”
Why the frick would anyone want an ADU built next to them.

At least you're starting to be honest

Would you like an ADU built next to you?

I covered this in my first post
You're now taking the NIMBY stance
quote:
Isn't this describing NIMBY-ism, which is making housing more unfordable by making development less possible and more costly?

Do you want ADUs in your back yard
Answer the question.
Also I gladly take the NIMBY stance, which is a stupid fricking acronym you keep using. Just say it.
I will take the stance of protecting my home value and my neighbors home value without shoving ADUs on the homeowners.

I understand the NIMBY position
I also understand this is why there is a housing shortage and government-created inflation in home prices. This statement isn't exclusive to Utah

If localities are engaging in NIMBY-ism and thwarting development, you're going to decrease the amount of housing inventory, which will increase prices

Where are all the illegals in this country living? In the millions. Many millions. Where do they reside, adobe huts in the desert? I would guess they take up a LOT of homes that lower income AMERICAN citizens could and would purchase if given the opportunity. There is no “housing shortage” There is an illegal alien surplus

I believe in the free market and capitalism, and reducing governmental manipulation of markets.

Bookmarked
But how do you feel about ADUs being in your backyard?
Also, if you truly believed this then you are saying you do not support this passage of legislation?

Modular homes are built like trash. Do not want.

This is the correct observation. The housing crisis and prices would not be an issue if this country would have had a stronger immigration policy for the past 50 years.
Unfortunately, our government and corporations sold the American people out for cheap labor.
This is a self inflicted injury and can't be undone by new legislation.
If only this country had a strict immigration policy like Denmark.
