The only reason there are not more cases is because of vaccinations.
I’m sure I’ll be down voted.
It’s funny how lots of people seem to believe the stupid kids on the playground (internet) in school and not the smart kids — even though there are lots of smart kids who believe in individual freedom and conservative politics.

one single state has had almost as many measles cases as the entire country normally experiences in an entire YEAR
Hot story off the press: measles cases appear in clusters known as outbreaks. Film at 11.

How about get a handle on the far scarier tuberculosis coming in in droves.
No argument that we're dropping the ball on TB. Just today I saw the administration said it wouldn't continue funding programs that helped keep drug-resistant TB from developing and reaching us from overseas.

How about shutting the border and testing people coming in? That's the program we need.

For sure. There's nothing more infectious than measles. it spreads very readily in unvaccinated places. It also kills about 1 in a thousand, so if they have a death in Texas, they probably have more cases than they're counted.

That's fine, but people get on planes and fly from East Africa and other places it's highly prevalent everyday. Border management is definitely a piece, though.

I'd like to see a breakdown of alien cases vs citizen cases.

Border/immigration management is a very BIG piece.

One of the biggest reasons that Measles is not really a big deal any more is because we don't have the same issues with malnutrition we did back in the 60s and prior.
Malnutrition couples with measles meant a lot higher mortality rate. In today's society malnutrition is non-existent in contrast to the way it was back then.
The risk of mortality, hell even serious disease is practically zero now.
For some reason, people just love to shill for giant pharma corporations. Do you know how much money those companies make from vaccines a year?

There's some truth to this, but it's more than just Trump and RFK. The new health secretaries/directors/nominee group as a whole are pretty atypical re: vaccine policy compared to what we're used to.
It’s been less than a month….. that’s not very scientific of you

The press is panicking about the leadership for the mirror-image reason that MAGA is cheering. I think both sides basically agree about the policy direction, they just disagree about whether it's good or bad for public health. I can go into why it's not good if you want.

It’s a little early to tell. We average around 240 cases a year and we’re close to that right now in February. Seems like something worth monitoring at least for the CDC.
Looks like something letting 20MM unvaccinated illegals in would cause.

Like Democrats monitor the border letting it in?? smfh
Freaking leftist and their "let's destroy, and then find a fix, while complaining about what was allowed to happen" anti-American approach.

we are already up to 146 in Texas alone
Gee, I wonder what would be causing that??? Hint - it's not unvaccinated MAGA supporters.

We have let anything and anyone into this country without full examinations. It’s a wonder plagues of all kinds aren’t occurring.
