I'm hearing this topic being discussed online right now. I don't know. It seems to me if the larger public is becoming aware of it only now, it is more
Important to be skeptical of the facts presented. Personally, I want to go back and read firsthand accounts to understand what really happened and why. Have any of your done this type of research.

I just don't trust most of the media. It's a shame.

People don’t know about all kind of things.
Google “ Zebra Murders” for instance.

Probably because there were lots of Events like this throughout history, a long time ago. We were taught about slavery and already realize there is a racist past to our country so there’s no need to go over every single racist event throughout history. We know they took place.

But they don’t take place anymore, and if they did every single perpetrator would be hunted down by the FBI and publicly tried. A cop using a department approved restraint was just convicted on like 8 counts because a guy on fentanyl died, nobody’s getting away with anything like Tulsa anymore.

Lot's of bad stuff happened, but it's nowhere near as one sided as the modern story spinmeisters are making it out to be.

Private planes in an aerial attack. Certainly bends the ear.

My immediate reaction to folks saying this is, "Maybe you just weren't paying attention in class..."

Personally, I don't remember whether or what I was taught about this in school. I vividly remember the photo od the slave with the scarred back.

Probably because they were black and it was shameful. But damn if everyone on the planet doesn’t know about a few privileged white kids getting killed for acting like terrorists at Kent State

Because history is not taught with an eye toward teaching social justice lessons to one group or another. We have a shared history and this event, to me, is not more important than what happened to the Japanese during WWII, for instance. It's not more important than any of the numerous massacres and broken treaties with Native Americans. To me, it's more important, as a people, that we understand how Black Wall Street came to be and why black enterprise seems to be on the decline 100 years later.
