He doesn't enjoy his job as a senator and has said as much.
Being governor of Alabama has to be one of the easiest governorships in the country.
I think he will easily win if he runs.

present. I actually respected Nick Saban a lot more when I was a CFB fan than I do now, yet I respect Tuberville far more than when I was a CFB fan
What has Saban done since retiring to make you lose a lot of respect for him?
If Saban ran for Governor against Tubbs, it would be a landslide. And I like Tubbs.
Is everyone forgetting Will Ainsworth? He has made it pretty clear that he plans to run for Governor. But im pretty sure he is Jimmy Rane's guy too. So the decision might be up to him; the richest guy in the state. I dint think Ainsworth is a shoe-in. But other than Tubberville, i havent heard of many serious candidates. Although, the people in Ivey's camp dont like Ainsworth much, so they will have a different candidate lined up for the primary

Dumbest senator in the history of the Republic. Alabama can send a tree stump and auto upgrade.
He believes in only 2 genders and doesnt support grooming children...so obviously hes not one of your favorites

It's not what he did since retiring. It's retrospect of everything I thought about him while I was still a sports fan. He's a damn fine ball coach, likely the GOAT of CFB, but I now see some things he did that were probably very wrong.
It's mostly my own doing, this representation of him that I had painted in my own mind. He was larger than life to me, and a lot of that came from his time at LSU and bringing them back to the national top-5 tier. Hindsight and emotional detachment have simply shown me that he's just a man, who happened to be really damn good at his job. I can't say anything bad about him, just that I see it differently.
I'm just an anonymous Internet shitposter so I've got no place to criticize Saban. He is a superb coach and I loved the way he traditionally dealt with the media. Nobody knows who I am, but the majority of Americans know who Nick Saban is.

If Tuberville runs, chances are nobody will run against him. It’ll be a coronation.
Hardly. Ainsworth has considered himself the heir apparent to the job for years and already has campaign billboards all over the interstates. I've already heard Rick Pate (current Ag commissioner) plans to run. I would expect Tommy Battle to show up again and maybe even that Books-A-Million guy that ran last time. Tuberville would be a strong candidate, but despite it's deep red reputation, Alabama lives and dies off federal pork and I suspect Tommy doesn't have the fanbase with the local corps he did when he initially ran. I'd really hate to lose him as a Senator, too. We'd end up with another clone of Katie Britt.

The next Governor will be whoever the Machine wants.

I believe Ainsworth would make a significantly better Governor.
He's been heading in that direction for years - i'm certainly not saying he's entitled to it - but he understands state level politics in Alabama.
State level is a completely different ballgame than the federal level, with decisions affecting the constituency much quicker and much more significantly - I would prefer if someone not be learning on the job.

I honestly hope he doesn’t . I would rather have him in DC fighting the fights for everyone . However if I lived in Bama I would def want him to run for governor because he would do a fantastic job .
