That day, a lot people moved their 401K holding from index fund and stocks into low yield, safe funds.
With the market rally this week, these people sold low and will buy high.
Then that would be the individual investors fault, they were the ones that chose to sell low and buy high, no one had a gun to their head and made them do it.

I sold all of all SPY long rentals. Back to all cash and watch the clown show.
If the rally sustainable, we should see more chances to buy.

Were there really 401k managers that pulled out of the market Friday?
If so, isn't that a case for malpractice or violation of a fiduciary or something? That seems insane to me. I am hardly knowledgeable about stocks at all, and even I know that they it is very very rare that markets don't bounce back in a relatively short amount of time.

If you moved anything on a three day swing too freaking bad.
Stevie Wonder could see it would all come back after the initial freak out was over.

Duly noted.*
(*There is no way to stop folks from locking in losses due to a 1-week cliff drop. Why didn't they do it over the last couple of years with similarly poor weeks?)

Funny, you weren't worried about the insane inflation of the last four years, were you? But you are now, when it really hasn't even happened yet. Just TDS nerds screaming about it will happen, cuz Trump... and OMB... fricking nerd.

If somebody moved their 401k because of a few days of a stock market drop then they are idiots and probably need to just have a set it and forget it 401k

And ? I know I’m not in the habit of employing people that don’t know how they are supposed to handle their jobs
