I’m glad a President Trump hasn’t said anything about the death of Congressman Lewis. Those of us who appreciate the congressman’s service don’t really want to hear a disingenuous or nasty statement. The president doesn’t have to say something he doesn’t mean, and we don’t have to hear it. Win for everyone.

I agree with you. Lewis let it be known he didn't like Trump and called for Trump's Shampeachment with no legitimate grounds for impeachment. So you're right, Trump should say nothing more than Lewis was a fearless fighter for civil rights and the American people acknowledge his many years of commendable service.
