Trump’s explanation tonight for why the GOP didn’t have a more successful mid-term: things aren’t bad enough yet.

Trump said 2024 is going to be different because things will get worse.

DeSantis wouldn’t need things to get worse. He’d crush Joe Biden today. He doesn’t need Biden’s and the Dem’s popularity to take an even bigger hit because he attracts voters with his own leadership, policies, and results.

Trump was completely right about this. Just like in 2020, he doesn’t have a chance unless the people feel the other option is basically hell (cough Hillary cough).

DeSantis 2024. Get the deranged pedo out of the White House and get the guy in there who has been a leader in Florida on all the issues we care about.

Message is great. But until swing states fix their voting system (Hint: they won’t) then this is all for nothing. Tonight gives a slight glimmer of hope but it’s futile in the long run.

The analysis didn't make any sense. The economy was good in 2018; the GOP lost 40ish seats. The economy is weak right now; the GOP picked up 10ish seats.

What if the Dem nominee is Gavin Newsom?

Dems and RINOs want DeSantis because they believe he’ll “campaign with dignity” whereas they know Trump will drop truth bombs about the government grift game, Hunter Biden, etc. all along the way.

Backing Trump 100% here but not angry if you support DeSantis.

Yeah they probably will.

And what do you think the Democrats would rather run against? Their handling of the state of affairs or against the persona of Donald Trump? Trump running is a Godsend for them because they can make it about him rather than defending their record.

Don’t forget the part where he doesn’t make everything about himself.

Florida uses a different scoreboard. But you know that. You would just rather lie.

I think my 2nd thread on this forum since joining was how 2024 will be a bloodbath for Democrats because of how terrible things will get economically.

Obviously Trump and his team (and every half intelligent ahole) knows that economy is about to take a massive 3-coiled shite that will make people rething their political affiliations and identity politics. Because when there are no jobs and you can't pay for gas, who gives a sht about mean tweets.

Making everything about himself would be more along the lines of playing golf every day instead of being crucified daily for putting our country and its citizens first. No doubt, behind the scenes these past 2 years, Trump has spent more time trying to salvage what’s left of our country than Joe has while he pathetically attempts to ride his bicycle weekly in Delaware. I’m very encouraged by some of DeSantis’s victories, but it’s still Trump’s time right now.

Regardless of who the Dem nominee is, DeSantis is our best shot.

Well, that doesn’t say much. Joe is the worst President in my lifetime. He makes Obama look competent.

DJT can be an effective orator if he stays to a script and addresses issues, not other people or himself.
