Possibly. I believe it was more of a "welcome to the party, Pal." kind of moment for Trump to keep hitting and hitting. Biden struggled to keep up and didn't really know how to handle it and it showed.
The next debate Biden will be expecting one thing, and get another. It is the game within the game. Trump knows this and plays it well.
Edit* Don't underestimate fighters. America LOVES fighters and we were so use to limp-wristed republicans. Trump fighting EVERYONE is refreshing. Screw the media.
Debate strategy goes well beyond just one debate.

Problem for Biden is this debate didn't exactly provide the media with a easy sell to the public that Biden clearly won. They needed at least one of those types. Trump disallowed it. Viva la Trump

You see, sweetheart, they aren’t voting FOR Biden. They are voting AGAINST rudeness. When that rudeness is equal, then they will stick with their original vote and they one they feel is more effective and commanding.

The one thing Trump did well tonight is force Biden to lie about things that are easily verifiable. There will be a lot of people doing internet searches on Hunter Biden and the "stupid bastards" quote and that will catch Joe in some very obvious lies.

.. the reports I'm hearing is people were turned off by this debate, and that means many less will watch the next two, and for Joe that's a win... because all he had to do was survive.
