Looks like Reagan Part II; I understand about compromising to get other concessions but that 1.8 will multiply 5 times that number in dem votes in one generation.

In this proposal, the full and permanent elimination of visa lottery and chain migration won't even take effect until well after Trump's Presidency whether it be 2020 or 2024 and a democrat POTUS/Congress can simply cancel the sunset of those programs and keep the amnesty they swindled out of Trump.

For this proposal to be easier to swallow, the cancellation of those programs must take place immediately with absolutely no grace periods allowed.

This is very similar to what the street artists did when we were trying to get the SF Board of Supervisors to give us selling spaces on the public sidewalks.

The Supervisors rejected eight different proposals we offered including our eighth offer which was to limit street artists to only 2 street artists in a square block area.

When the Sups rejected all eight proposals stating that the merchants opposed all of them, we realized the merchants and the Sups were not going to compromise and allow some street artists selling spaces on any public sidewalk so we decided to expose that fact. We made our ninth proposal which was to allow only one street artist selling space in a square block area.

As we suspected, the Sups rejected our ninth offer stating that the merchants were also opposed to allowing even only one street artist selling space in a square block area.

That is when we decided to put something on the municipal ballot and after we succeeded in getting enough valid signatures of registered voters to put Proposition J on the ballot, which my brother authored, we went on the radio and TV and campaigned for the passage of Proposition J telling the public the merchants and the Supervisors refused to allow even just one street artist per square block area.

Our campaign succeeded because Proposition J was passed by the SF voters by over 10,000 votes.

I appreciate the local activism.

Yep.

Conservatives can say goodbye to Texas, Florida and Georgia if this proposal goes through.

Trump is giving up way too much; that number is way too big, especially with ridiculous grace periods it has for chain migration and visa lottery that will stretch out beyond 2024.

It's pure insanity.

I feel patriotic playing that role. Someone needs to do it.

What if democrats call Trump's bluff and accepts the deal? It's way too much to gamble to risk coming up snake eyes.

Thanks.

It hasn't been easy and it cost my brother and me a lot of time and money but we had to do it.

It became more than about just some street artists wanting to sell legally on the SF sidewalks.

It became a fight to defend the will of the SF voters and the Democratic process.

Dianne Feinstein was one of the Supervisors who opposed allowing even one street artist selling space in a one block area and she was also one of the Supervisors who embezzled about $200,000 from the Street Artists Program from 1972 to 1978 so every time I see her face on TV blasting President Trump and pretending to care about the little people it makes me puke.

December 2016 is well prior to his Presidency. Politicians will politic. Trump said "they have to go home". Bush 1 said "no new taxes". Obama said "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor." At this point perhaps you should put up or shut up.

You are dead wrong, Sentrius.

Dead wrong.

He opened with an offer that looks soft regarding his stances because no matter what he rolls out, the Dems are going to cry foul and racism because it is what they do. It worked.

He could roll out a plan that granted every illegal in the US full citizenship come Feb 1st and they would fight him. It’s all they do because of TDS.

This was a purely political move.

It is going to be used to expose the left and how they are not the least bit concerned about illegal immigrants but just want to fight.

Wut? He was president-elect.

How about August '16, ya know, while he he was campaigning
quote:

During a particularly fiery speech in Arizona on August 31, 2016, he made this promise: "We will immediately terminate President Obama's two illegal executive amnesties in which he defied federal law and the Constitution to give amnesty to approximately 5 million illegal immigrants, 5 million."

It's dumb to argue that Trump didn't flip and change his mind about this. Why would you argue something so banal?

I cannot believe anybody who watched pelosi thoroughly embarrass herself on the subject cannot see what trump is doing.

After all this time you think calling him a racist is going to work?

I was hoping to hear Pelosi call President Trump a racist pile of doggy do with a cherry on top.

Wait for the final deal, it might something like this. DACA can be citizens if no criminal record or no welfare for 3 or 5 yrs.

She sounded completely unhinged about a proposal his base doesn't like at all.

Now who is the unreasonable side?
