When Israel gets one dollar of US money and spends it on an American good (likely defense) about 85% of that dollar covers the cost of the good and 15% is profit. I struggle to understand how this helps America.

Let’s imagine the transaction another way but yielding the same ultimate results. The American government pays the defense contractor the dollar and the defense contractor gives the good to Israel for free. Do you see that the net result is that America gave a good, that cost 85 cents, to Israel for free?

So the requirement that Israel buys from America might lower the impact by 15%, but it’s still hitting the American taxpayer for 85%.

We give them money, they spend it on military hardware here, then use their own money (since they're not having to spend it on defense) to provide free healthcare and education to their citizens. The latest $8.6B F-15 deal saves every Israeli family of four $3,822. That $3,822 is coming out of our great-great-grandchildrens' pockets....with interest.

Hold on buddy. The question I was discussing was strictly an implication that the aid we give Israel is not costing us anything because they have to buy American. I lanced that argument as it deserved to be lanced.

Trump is a agent of destruction. That is why i voted for him. He is doing the dirty work now, for whatever motivation he has, that will lay the groundwork for what is to come.

I dont know if he realizes this or agrees with it, but I dont care. He is a tool to get where we need to be....and as with any tool, I dont care a thing about him personally.
