We are two weeks from the election. Getting worked up at this point over policy minutia spitballing seems about the most absurd thing possible given the clear choice we are facing.

Everyone will not be paying fed payroll taxes in a few years when he implements flat taxes

Many/most on this Board will support literally anything Trump says/does/proposes.
It's bizarre.

No way in hell I am voting for Kamala, but it is Brain Dead Ideas like exempting Government Workers from paying taxes that might have me sit this one out.

He’s already got the rank and file police and fire vote. No votes to fish for

How about we just lay off the government workers who's salaries were paid for by the cops and firefighters taxes?

I can’t speak for police but firefighters don’t pay into SS, but they also don’t receive it. As a 52 y/o, I promise you don’t want firefighters in their 50s and 60s coming to respond to you or your loved ones

Yes, but they provide an essential service, unlike a majority of the other government workers. There's a lot of fat to trim.

Police officers, fire fighters, teachers, many other public servants..... Especially teachers are grossly underpaid and under trained.

Teachers should be tested, highly trained in many areas, and well vetted. Teachers spend more time with our children than parents do.
We would do well to start appreciating our public servants. Pay and training is a good place to start.

Trump’s entire point is to get rid of the income tax model - yes tariffs to compensate

All that matters is him winning - I don’t give a flying f what he says the next few weeks to win
