No you're not. You are pushing a narrative that the data does not support.

Cash or credit, they're still spending more this year than last year when they feel/belive they are worse off and it's getting worse. Their actions of spending 9% more this year don't not support that they really "feel worse".

Youre confused. They think Buy Now Pay Later will help them, but its going will put them further in the hole.

Biden inherited the mechanism for inflation, and made it worse.

I didnt vote for Biden, he is worthless to the conversation.

Cash, credit or otherwise. Doesn't matter. If you feel you are worse off today than last year, you spend less on non-necessities. Because you NEED the necessities. IF you are stupid and do otherwise, then you deserve what you get.

Perception doesn’t always equate to reality. People don’t feel more financially secure and Trump should do nothing but focus on domestic economies for the foreseeable future. The media isn’t going to help him so it’s imperative that people emotionally can feel it improving, couple that with a big 250 celebration and 2026 could be great.. continue focusing on foreign BS and we will be in for a frustrating year politically.

A smart person doesn't, this is true. My point is that IF I feel worse off today than last year AND I feel things are going to get worse for me and my family, I'm going to hope for the best (but plan for the worse) and spend lest for non-necessities. Most Christmas gifts are not necessities.

You have to understand that if spending was down for black friday then the narrative would be just what you said. Some of these people on here have a way to spin it. Look we are only in year 1 so a lot is going to happen until the mid terms. Prepare for another shutdown in there as well.

Yep. I complained about Obama far worse than both.

There is very little difference between Obama and Trump in the way they want to control the economy.

Ok, in what way is the economy so down that you have had a terrible lived experience. Explain it in detail what downturn over the last 11 months economically has effected your life in a negative way?

Once you make that point, connect it to how Trump is at fault for it in year one of this Presidency.

I am willing to listen and learn how 2025 economy has negatively impacted your life and how it's Trump's fault.

What's funny about that dipshit? People are purchasing non-necessities at a time when folks like you claim those same people are feeling worse about their situation and that things are getting worse for them. It would be STUPID in that situation to spend MORE money than you spent last year, IF you believe things are going to get worse for you.

Your voting pain and inflation have been caused by decades of voting for empty promises and massive illegal immigration. I can assure you if the government were controlled by the people you vote for your pain would be astronomically worse which is something you and the other sky screamers never grasp. You are your own worst enemy not Trump

Are you actually capable of discussing the economy, or is assigning personal blame your only mode?

You’re reducing decades of macro-level policy failures, structural decisions, and bipartisan economic mismanagement to “it’s your fault for voting wrong.”

But tell me more about these sky screamers you loathe…
