There is some truth to it. When you buy pot illegally you are financing criminal activity, maybe even the Mexican Cartels.

I haven't had Mexican dirt weed since a few states started making weed legal. It's all getting shipped nationwide from Colorado, Washington, etc.

Legalization has greatly improved the quality of weed available from your average dealer.

There's leaks everywhere with no announced indictments yet, he's allowing a witch hunt of the duly elected administration to go on under his nose with Mueller, there's more work to be done on illegal immigration, and the only thing he's worried about is fricking marijuana, civil asset forfeiture and bullying states on those two things?

Sessions has been a great disappointment. I expected better from him. I would overlook his stance on drugs if he would accomplish those other things you mentioned, but he seems obsessed with this one issue

I don't think I could find it if I tried. We grow the best weed in the world here. Smoking Mexican on the west coast would be like drinking Mad Dog 20/20 in Burgundy.

I find it hilarious that Sessions is universally thought to as a racist and horrible AG

He's not a racist. He had black employees and coworkers testifying on his behalf at his confirmation hearing just for this issue.

In fact, calling him a racist was just white noise to the senate republicans and clammed them up in his corner.

if Democrats had attacked his love for the war on drugs and asset forfeiture, they could've had a very good chance of shaking loose 3 moderate republicans to block him.

The black market creates the violence and when their is a demand in this country there will always be a supply. The reasons for gangs and cartels to exist is to make money off of illegal things like drugs, prostitution and gambling. Take those away and the incentive to be in a criminal organization is essentially zero.

Good point especially considering that alcohol has killed more people indirectly in one month than weed has ever killed directly in 20 years.

Exaclfy. Completely different effects and different sets of problems. Still doesn't change that marijuana use is counter productive.

Pot is a gateway drug for the dealer moreso than for the user...the shady dealers are the ones who'll try pushing the harder stuff on the more impressionable weed buyers, because it'll yield them more money on future encounters. The results would be a helluva lot different if someone could just go down to the corner store to get their smoke on...
