The report outlines a nexus to a proceeding and substantial evidence of corrupt intent. Those are the 3 required components for it to be a crime

Did he, though? Or did he talk about and float the idea of firing Mueller? Seems to me that if he had "tried to fire Mueller", then he would have said "Mueller, your're fired." Then there would have been some pushback with the result that Mueller ends up not being fired. That's "Trying to fire" someone. Not wondering if you can fire them.

He didn't. That talking point is either a lie or product of a woefully unlearned person. He told Mcgahn to get with Rosenstein to prod Rosenstein into doing his job via checking into potential conflict of interest on the part of Mueller....which would be good cause to REPLACE Mueller, not simply fire and end SC investigation.
