Obama was nominated before the deadline. That has nothing to do with politics or any reason why he won the award.

like a bucket of warm spit.

I had hoped that if they did award it to Trump he would have refused it because it has been sullied by recent awards to political favorites - most glaringly Obama

He should not want to share anything sullied by Obama's membership

Nominated before the deadline, but what did he do to get nominated? Nothing. It was a "feel good" thing to give it to the first black president. He won the award because? I can't think of anything, but politics.

Jørgen Watne Frydnes, chairman of the Nobel Peace Committee, was asked by reporters about international pressure to award the prize to President Trump for his historic Israel-Hamas peace deal. He noted that "in the long history" of the Nobel Peace Prize, the committee has seen many different campaigns and "media tension," adding that it receives letters and emails each year from people around the world expressing "what, for them, leads to peace."

Frydnes concluded, "We base our decision only on the work and the will of Alfred Nobel."

100% this. The Nobel Committee has lost all credibility.

It gave the award to Arafat.

It's never had it.

I’m going to have to challenge you on that. They gave it to Obama for being elected and what he might do as president.

They gave it to Obama “in anticipation” of all his peace-achievements.

I genuinely don’t care if Trump gets one. 8it genuinely has no meaning

Deserve has nothing to do with it. He was never going to get it. He never will get it. Just accept that and move-on.

So, I wonder what Obama did his first two weeks in office to be nominated?

He was half black, gay and married to a trans when he was “elected.”

But Obama

Trump insecure about his presidency because he know his two wins came against the two worst candidates ever… who also happened to be women… he knows he hasn’t beaten a worthy opponent

And they won't give it to him next year because of "muh reasons".

Obama was awarded the prize for being "not George W. Bush". There are a lot of us out there with the same credentials - billions.

What did Obama accomplish to deserve the award? How many times did he get it and for what?

He was never and will never win. You're delusional if you think so, which isn't surprising.

A "Prace Prize" will never be given to an authoritarian who has declared war on his own people and his allies.

Educate yourself, although it may be too late...

I'm not here to decide who wins the award and why. I'm just telling you it's because of deadlines. Not the headlines you're seeing on the news.
