You do realize the vast difference between defending yourself and going looking for trouble? Pretti was the latter.

Touching an officer, repeatedly ignoring orders after the fact, & reaching for a gun have been the primary reasons cited on the /Pol/board. All of these are big, obvious no nos & have been since the beginning of time.
Notice how literally every single one of these new 2A converts, have left out that key detail.
Hey leftists, instead of leaving out the obvious detail that causes your arguments to dry up, and you ghost the thread, maybe come up with a different stupid argument?

Are they in competition?

Sure. Could you answer these questions first?
How often do you get involved with LEO's and insert yourself into police matters that don't concern you?
How often do you get in altercatiosn/fights with LEOs?

So, the political party in charge gets to determine the context in which a citizen carry a gun and when? Really, you want that?
That isn’t what happened. This really is a pathetic troll.
Threatening a federal officer legally carrying out their job duties with a firearm is a crime and very different than simply carrying. You know that.
Try carrying a loaded weapon into the airport and bitch and moan about the TSA disagreeing with Charlie Kirk. You’re such a deep thinker.

In the videos I’ve seen, the officer walked across the street to confront him and pepper spray him. He did not provoke the officer. He touched the officer when trying to help the woman up (that the officer had pushed).
What orders were given? What orders were ignored? I have not been able to decipher any orders from the videos.
I have also not seen convincing evidence he reached for a gun. That would be a critical fact but the angles are inconclusive. For much of the time he was on the ground, I saw his hands were above his head on the pavement. Immediately before he was shot, it’s hard to tell exactly where they are.
I would welcome and consider any evidence you have which contradicts the above. I’m open to changing my opinion.

Trump does not know context other than self involvement and self pleasure

I see you're more interested in parlor tricks, you're just providing a meaningless distraction.

They asked you two direct questions that are directly related to the incident that occurred. IMO you're the one being evasive

It is all over this thread. Instead of having a gun being a right, many MAGA here are giving it conditions. "he had it coming", "you can't show up to a protest with a gun", "he got into an altercation so he had it coming".
That isn't being anti-2A. That's being logical, though abrasively. Did he "ask for it"? Not directly, but that's objective. Did he "have it coming"? I wouldn't say those words, but he certainly could have avoided it by minding his business.
It's easy to understand and recognize that in today's screwy world it's really easy for a "protest" to go sideways. Anything can and will happen. The situation in MN is volatile and the best course of action to prevent a bad situation with the highest degree of probability, is to avoid the potential of placing oneself in potential danger altogether.
Death comes for us all. And dude could have been out ice fishing and had an accident that killed him, sure. But he'd have at least been out ice fishing instead of protesting the lawful operations of federal agents. Probably could have caught himself some dinner too.

Kirk is right.
That dude just made a poor decision on when to kick off his personal civil war.

The US AG quote "I don't know of any peaceful protestor that shows up with a gun".
This is a hand picked Trump MAGA person who directly is saying having a gun means you must be a bad person with bad intentions. I just hope we keep that consistency when MAGA wants to protest something.

I asked for the context needed to understand the claim made by Trump that is the topic of this thread… still waiting
