The very first response to this post is the exact reason that "uniting the clans" is both impossible and folly.

We make fun of tribalism and pretend that we transcend, and that it's an ideology/practice predominantly deployed by the Left/RINOs, yet here we are being tribalistic.

This country has already fallen and yet most people, even the most brilliant here on tPT, just haven't seen enough evidence yet somehow. When the epiphany hits, I hope everyone takes a long, hard look in the mirror.

He has proven he can do a good job as the Governor of Florida. No doubt. Many people have proven to be "good politicians" that have been life-long politicians. Many have been functional governors that aspired to be President. Just because someone has shown political talent doesn't mean they're not a part of the problem. As to the media I've seen attacks against Gov Ron for years many all laid out here on PT.

Its also been a major talking point around here about Rons support from GOPe types, but whatever their true feelings towards Ron do you really think they throw support to Trump now?

He puts on good theatre but other than that he seems very much a status quo politician. Saying and doing anything that gets him praise and power. I mean look at him now, do you honestly think he believes the stuff he says about DeSantis or is he just saying it because he views him as a political rival?

I mean it seems rather obvious he's faking it. Why else do a 180 on the man who by all rights has been a huge success? Other than he threatens you politically? As far as not caring about everyone I can't really speak to that other than he does appear to place himself above all else. Otherwise he wouldn't risk another four years of Dems in office when he knows there's someone immensely more electable running.
