Trump/Vance crack down on companies abusing H1Bs

You can bet your arse this is being abused too, if you go to any Walmart/grocery store in a heavy HB-1 area 85% of the employees are females of Indian descent :

Spouses and children under the age of 21 of H-1B employees are considered dependents and are eligible for H-4 nonimmigrant status. H-4 beneficiaries are only eligible to be in the U.S. in H-4 status while the principal H-1B beneficiary is in the U.S. in valid H-1B status.

Most H-4 dependents are not authorized to work in the U.S., and are not eligible for a social security number.

Yep... been going on for decades now. They say their importing skilled Computer Science grads they couldn't find here in the states - reality was unskilled labor to pump gas and run laundromats.

And when they went to companies which contracted hundreds of them... I remember AT&T using them - 7 to 8 living in a 2 BR apartment down the street. No vehicle, and 50% of their income was sent home, out of the country.

Our area is starting to get overrun by them, and this is a pretty affluent area. We’re looking to move in the next year or two to get away from it.
