You mean it’s not all the blatant examples of this administration insider trading??? Just a few…

what is going on with bitcoin. i looked last night and it was down nearly $9000. gold seems to be more of a safety play than bitcoin.

Gee, why would China want to jerk us around with respect to rare earth metals?

I own shares of both MP Materials and Uranium Energy Corp that have been stagnant for years, but since April they have been 2 of my biggest gainers.

Looks like another opportunity to buy the dip after all the sellers are washed out.

Exit liquidity for the powerful.

There’s always been bad actors but this level of corruption is insane.

It will be interesting to see if their Mountain Pass mine stays solvent. My company worked on Project Phoenix when it was Molycorp, and while we got paid, there were horror stories of other contractors getting stiffed when they went bankrupt.

Yes it would be nice to have rare earths mines and refined here in the states, but it’s not like there haven’t been billions invested in this mine before.

Nor do you have to be eaten alive with TDS, you just choose to be.

E.g., NASDAQ futures start *aggressively* selling off at 7:52 PM (green circle) for no reason whatsoever. EXCEPT that's not quite true, is it?

Trump announced tariffs on Canada, Europe, and the rest of the world at 8:06 PM (blue circle).

Right.

EXCEPT The White House trade team earlier completed letters during ongoing meetings. Anonymous tips to wires (e.g., Reuters) hinted at Canada/EU escalations, but there was no formal alert. Rumors built. The markets showed mild after-hours volatility.

Then .... wait4it ... at 7:52 PM a call went out to the press per leaked WH prep notes that there would be a formal announcement. Based on the building rumors of Canada/EU escalations, market action was immediately responsive.

Now you can presuppose Trump et al are making bank with this stuff. You can wig out with TDS and claim there's no other possible explanation. You can ignore the fact this stuff has always occurred. Markets move by the time news breaks ... "Buy the rumor. Sell the news." You can make those claims, or hold those TDS beliefs as you wish. But calling others "stupid" d/t your personal TDS is a really bad look.

No shite. Still nothing can be done by whining about it.

Given everything else we’re seeing that’s a super naive hypothetical, but also absolutely on brand for you.

Show me those blatant examples of this “always occurring” tied directly to news from the whitehouse/dem administration. We’re going to need to see your receipts on that.

Also, are you just ignoring the several other exampels? More coincidences?

I'll give anyone that wants it 1000/1 odds that come November 1, there will not be a 100% tariff on China. This guy just keeps fricking us with this shite. Why not just say starting right now, 100% tariff? It's embarrassing to listen to this bullshite. He's been a total disaster on everything but the border.

We are raking in over 30 billion a month in tariffs with no inflation and trillions of committed investments, what an asinine statement.

I'm not certain you know what the word "hypothetical" means. I simply laid out the facts and timeframe. There were no hypotheticals, nor openings for naivety.

You cannot be serious
Perhaps you've heard of Hunter Biden or Nancy Pelosi ... get your own receipts on her.
BTW, I defended some of Paul Pelosi's trades in the same way I'm pointing out the errors in your assumptions here. I did the same with Kelly Loeffler when she was falsely accused by her Republican opponent.

During the Obama Admin, rumors of insider trading were so rampant (especially during the ACA runup) that the Stock Act was passed.

Let's be crystal clear. I'm not saying that insider trading does not occur or that crackdowns are not in order.

My issue is with your assumption they are being coordinated with Trump cronies. I laid out exactly how insider moves could have occurred independent of that in the South African and July 10 instances.

The fact that you think what Hunter and Pelosi did (while bad) are comparable (esp in terms of scale or egregiousness) shows how deeply unserious you are.

Rumors? Again, provide receipts for your beliefs. This is not a high bar.

Well I’m glad we agree on that part. The credibility of our markets is rapidly deteriorating which can lead to really bad longterm consequences.

That’s still a lot of coincidences (even if you put aside that SA trade) to argue against the painfully obvious. Like how many different blatant examples would it take?
