Exact reason we switched from China to other countries for some of what we buy then sell. Did this about a year ago. Lead times are less, payment terms are better so the small increase in price for what we pay is basically cancelled out.

Yep. We’ll be screwed on wheels since they all come from China now. Tires and other products come from different countries including US so hopefully we can ride it out.

Wouldn't it be something if China spent these last 6 months preparing to reroute their exports to other countries and also importing semiconductor chips in huge quantities that will cover their needs for at least a year. Once that was accomplished they planned to completely cut us off from the Rare Earth materials we need to build those semiconductor chips and weapons for the military and will now see how much pain we are willing to endure. That is why I said Bessent was a fricking idiot for giving them multiple 90 day extensions

They already have. Their exports have gone up. I told this place it would happen. The global marketplace is way bigger than what we offer and China adjusted accordingly.
